Mikey Keene - Leads Bulldogs to win in MWC opener Keene completed 26 of 33 passes for 226 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 38-21 victory over New Mexico.

Impact Keene was efficient Saturday, completing 78.8 percent of his passes to lead Fresno State to a win in their conference opener. The junior's now gone back-to-back weeks without a turnover. Overall, he's completed 66.7 percent of his passes this season for 1,040 yards, six touchdowns and four interceptions. Keene and the Bulldogs will have a tougher conference matchup in Week 5 against a 3-0 UNLV team.

Impact Grear sat out the first quarter (three games) of Fresno State's 2024 season. Now that he can play games again, his next objective is to log some yards. Grear logged 92 of them and one touchdown from seven receptions during the Bulldogs' 2023 season.

Impact According to Jackson Moore of 247Sports, Sherrod was banged up for the game, resulting in his DNP on Saturday. Ideally, his availability status is updated before the Bulldogs are scheduled for their game at UNLV on Sept. 28.

Impact Sharpe's speed was a difference-maker Saturday, as the 5-foot-9 receiver broke off a pair of long runs against the Aggies. However, Sharpe was heavily involved in the passing game as well, leading Fresno State in both targets and receptions in the win. The junior is up to nine receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown through three games this season after recording 73 grabs for 991 yards and seven scores last year at Missouri State.

Elijah Gilliam - Finds end zone in win Gilliam tallied seven rushes for 31 yards and a touchdown and hauled in his only target for 15 yards during Saturday's 48-0 win over New Mexico State.

Impact Gilliam extended Fresno State's lead to 14-0 in the opening quarter for his first touchdown since Week 10 of last season. The senior Gilliam is the clear number-two option behind Malik Sherrod in the Bulldogs' backfield, though he may see increased usage in lopsided scorelines like Saturday's. Through three games this season, Gilliam's rushed for 91 yards on 23 carries with an additional 17 yards on four receptions.

Impact James caught one pass for three yards (on three targets) in Week 1 and has now played since. It's unclear what's keeping the Idaho State transfer off the field. His next chance to play is this Saturday at New Mexico.

Mac Dalena - Productive again in win Dalena brought in two of three targets for 82 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 48-0 victory over New Mexico State.

Impact Dalena only made two catches Saturday though both accounted for six points, including a 69-yard touchdown on the Bulldogs' opening drive. While he didn't see a ton of volume in the blowout win, Dalena has established himself as one of the top targets in Fresno State's offense this year. He's averaging an outstanding 25.6 yards per reception with three touchdowns in the early going.

Malik Sherrod - Tops 100 yards in win Sherrod accrued 15 carries for 113 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 48-0 win against New Mexico State.

Impact It was Sherrod's most efficient game so far this season -- he had averaged just 2.2 yards per carry through his first two contests. The senior running back is now up to 191 yards and three touchdowns on 51 carries in the early going.

Impact It's the first time Keene has thrown fewer than 30 passes in a game this year, though he was efficient, completing a pair of touchdown passes to Mac Dalena in the blowout victory. Keene also managed not to turn the ball over after throwing four interceptions in his first two games this season. The junior quarterback has now completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 814 yards and five touchdowns to open the campaign.

Impact While Mac Dalena's 235-yard performance was the highlight of Fresno State's win, Moss had himself a solid day as well, capped by an 85-yard punt return score. The sophomore Moss has brought in 12 of 19 targets for 173 yards through his first two games this season. He should remain a focal point in the Bulldogs' offense.

Impact Freeman partook in practice and reportedly looked good in individual drills. Thus, the wideout could be slated to make his 2024 debut this week against New Mexico State. The junior posted 19 catches for 249 yards and a score last season.
