John Mitchell - Tallies two TDsMitchell caught four passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns against Georgia Southern on Saturday.
ImpactThis is a notable outing, and not just because of the numbers. Mitchell moved from receiver to tight end this offseason, and these numbers from a tight end are even more intriguing. He also had four catches for 51 yards against Florida in the opener.

LaJohntay Wester - Reels in TDWester caught seven passes for 124 yards and a score Saturday versus Georgia Southern.
ImpactWester saw the field plenty as a true freshman in 2020 but barely made an impact with all of 17 catches for 114 yards in nine games. Obviously, he shot past that yardage total in this game alone, and it looks like he might be the top target in the FAU passing attack.

Johnny Ford - Rushes for 71 yardsFord rushed 15 times for 71 yards against Georgia Southern on Saturday.
ImpactIt seems like the South Florida transfer has established himself as the Owls' lead back already. He had 15 carries when nobody else had more than seven, and he had the most yards as well. However, he did fumble twice. That could come back to bite him.

N'Kosi Perry - Throws four TDsPerry went 19-for-27 for 332 yards and four touchdowns against Georgia Southern on Saturday.
ImpactThe former Miami starter was adequate on the road against Florida in FAU's opener. Facing much easier competition he really erupted in this matchup. Next week against Fordham looks enticing now to be sure.

Amare Jones - Plays RB, WR against FAUJones had nine carries for 21 yards in Saturday's 38-6 loss to FAU. He also had four catches for 33 yards and did not attempt a pass.
ImpactAfter starting at quarterback for the Eagles in Week 1, head coach Chad Lunsford chose to go with Cam Ransom at pivot for Week 2 and use Jones as a jack of all trades. The senior ended up being Georgia Southern's second-leading receiver on the day, but averaged just 2.3 yards per carry on the ground. How Lunsford uses Jones moving forward will be a major theme for the Eagles as they navigate a tough stretch of games that features Arkansas, Louisiana and Arkansas State.

Gerald Green - Catches six passesGreen had six catches for 55 yards in Saturday's 38-6 loss to FAU. He added one carry for one yard.
ImpactAfter having just one catch for 16 yards in Week 1 against Gardner-Webb, Green led the Eagles in receiving against FAU. The sophomore was used solely as a running back last season, but is thus far factoring into the passing game in 2021. With Eagles' starter Justin Tomlin eligible to return from his suspension (academics) next week against Arkansas, Green's name will be an interesting one to look out for as his role continues to evolve.
