Impact The passing game was just used to keep the Owls honest, but the Gamecocks were running all over the opposition all night. Huff transferred in from Furman and has proven the perfect fit for Rich Rodriguez's offense. Not only has he run for at least 77 yards in each of his last four games, but Huff has not fumbled once in those games either.

Impact Lewis ran for 818 yards and eight touchdowns in JSU's last season as an FCS team. Last year he only played in nine games, but he did averaged 4.9 yards per carry and did score three touchdowns. Lewis got off to a slow start to this season, so this is an encouraging game.

Impact Stewart had a real role in the offense for the first time last week, and while he was one of three players with double-digit rushing attempts in this one, Stewart led the team in touches and rushing yards. Through four games he has four touchdowns as the Gamecocks get ready for conference play.

Impact At FCS Furman, Huff was a high-level running quarterback, so it's clear to see why Rich Rodriguez was intrigued in having him at Jacksonville State. He won the starting gig, and he's been really tearing it up on the ground. Over his last three games he's run 43 times for 258 yards and two touchdowns.

Impact Smothers appears poised for a return after he was sidelined for the Gamecocks' previous two contests. While he's listed as a co-starter, Smothers figures to take the majority of reps under center if he is back to full health. Impact Franklin transferred to Jacksonville State in the offseason following a single season with UTEP.
