BYU football: What could Jaren Hall's season look like? With fall camp winding down, Kalani Sitake is preparing for trip to Las Vegas.
Named starter to open season Hall has been named the starting quarterback for Week 1, KSL Sports reports.
Impact Hall was the frontrunner for the job throughout camp and it was no surprise to see him officially be named QB1 for the Sept. 4 matchup against Arizona. Baylor Romney will be the backup, while Jacob Conover if QB3 for the time being. Hall is coming back from a hip injury that did not allow him to compete for the starting job in 2020.

Set to compete for starting job Hall (hip) is among the candidates to serve as BYU's starting quarterback to begin the regular season, Brandon Judd of the Deseret News reports.
Impact Hall missed time due to a hip injury in 2020, and he didn't take any snaps while serving as a backup. However, he's apparently fully healthy to begin camp as he prepares to compete with Baylor Romney and Jacob Conover for a starting role. Hall completed 31 of his 46 passes for 420 yards and a touchdown while rushing 29 times for 139 yards and three touchdowns in 2019.
