GAME LOG
Elijah Canion - Nets 63 yards
Canion caught five passes for 63 yards against JSU on Wednesday.
Impact
With injuries hitting the Liberty receivers, Canion has been the top target the last couple weeks. He's gotten 20 targets over his last two games and had five catches for roughly 60 yards each time.

ROTOWIRE
Vaughn Blue - Rushes for TD
Blue ran five times for 50 yards and a touchdown against JSU on Wednesday.
Impact
This is Blue's first touchdown of the year. While Kaidon Salter and Quinton Cooley were always going to get more carries, as soon as Billy Lucas moved ahead Blue in the pecking order, the redshirt freshman was pushed to the margins.

ROTOWIRE
Quinton Cooley - Gets back on track
Cooley ran 27 times for 133 yards and a score Wednesday versus JSU.
Impact
This is a return to form after Cooley oddly only had nine carries for 37 yards in the now-famed upset loss to Kennesaw State. On the year Cooley has averaged 6.1 yards per carry and scored seven touchdowns in as many games, so now that we've seen him produce as per usual, all concerns should be alleviated.

ROTOWIRE
Kaidon Salter - Worst game of season
Salter went 12-for-25 for 147 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against JSU on Wednesday. He also ran 17 times for 68 yards.
Impact
Salter fumbled twice, but was fortunate that the Flames fell on both of them. Liberty just suffered a massive upset to Kennesaw State, but Salter did not rebound. Completing 48-percent of your passes and throwing for under 150 yards doesn't cut it, and Salter's really taken a step back from 2023's remarkable campaign.

ROTOWIRE
Reese Smith - Logs another DNP
Smith (knee) did not play during Liberty's 31-21 loss Wednesday against Jacksonville State.
Impact
Wednesday included Smith's second DNP of October 2024. After logging four receptions for 68 yards during his lone game then, he will sit out Liberty's matchups until further notice.

Austin Henderson - Ruled out Wednesday
Henderson will not play in Wednesday's game against Jacksonville State, ASeaofRed.com reports.
Impact
Henderson will miss his second game of the season as he tends to an undisclosed injury. The junior tight end has totaled two receptions for 20 yards across two appearances this season. He will aim to be available for the road matchup against Middle Tenn. St. after the team's bye week.

ROTOWIRE
Tyson Mobley - Won't play Wednesday
Mobley (undisclosed) won't play against Jacksonville State, ASeaofRed.com reports.
Impact
Mobley will now miss his second game of the season. It's unclear what his ailment is, but he won't be able to go Wednesday night. The wideout has posted 21 catches for 202 yards and a score this fall.

ROTOWIRE
Reese Smith - Warming up in-uniform
Smith (knee) is warming up ahead of Liberty's clash with Jacksonville State, Bryson Gordon of NewsAdvance.com reports.
Impact
Smith, who missed Week 9 against Kennesaw State, was spotted warming up in full uniform for the Flames. It appears the wideout will try to give it a go against the Gamecocks. Smith has 13 grabs for 199 yards and three scores this fall.

ROTOWIRE
Treon Sibley - Out vs. Gamecocks
Sibley (hamstring) isn't in uniform ahead of Liberty's clash with Jacksonville State, ASeaofRed.com reports.
Impact
Sibley was seen in street clothes, and thus won't play for Liberty in Week 10. The wideout will miss his second game of the season. He has 21 catches for 397 yards and two touchdowns this fall.

ROTOWIRE
Treon Sibley - Return timetable unknown
Liberty's head coach Jamey Chadwell announced that Sibley is trying to recover from a hamstring injury and that his "timetable for return is unknown" now, Jon Manson of A Sea of Re...
Impact
Sibley suffered his hamstring injury one week ago during Liberty's game at Kennesaw State. As a result, his injury status is questionable before the Flames are expected to host Jacksonville State on Wednesday.

ROTOWIRE
Reese Smith - Questionable Wednesday night
Smith (knee) could return to action Wednesday night against Jacksonville State, per A Sea of Red.
Impact
Smith missed last week against Kennesaw State, but given his previous timetable to return when he injured his knee (2-4 weeks), it's feasible that the wideout could return against the Gamecocks. Smith has 13 grabs for 199 yards and three touchdowns this fall.

DATA SKRIVE
Elijah Canion - Catches TD
Canion caught five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown Wednesday versus Kennesaw State.
Impact
A nice game for Canion, but he has not been a big part of the offense. Even after this game, he has 12 catches for 191 yards total.

•
ROTOWIRE
Treon Sibley - Scores TD
Sibley caught four passes for 27 yards and a score against KSU on Wednesday.
Impact
Sibley found the end zone for the first time since the season opener against Campbell, but this was not exactly a return to his early-season form. He has 56 yards total over his last three games.
OCTOBER 24
•
ROTOWIRE
Billy Lucas - Rushes for 52 yards
Lucas ran 11 times for 52 yards against KSU on Wednesday.
Impact
Lucas actually outperformed Quinton Cooley in this game, though he still only got 11 carries. While Lucas is a good back, Cooley has been great with the Flames, so the only two games where Lucas has gotten over 11 carries were against an FCS team and the game that Cooley missed with an injury.

•
ROTOWIRE
Quinton Cooley - Strangely struggles versus KSU
Cooley ran nine times for 37 yards against Kennesaw State on Wednesday.
Impact
Cooley was a star last year, rushing for 1,401 yards and 16 touchdowns. Over his first five games this season he ran for 545 yards and six scores. Thus, the fact he had such a lackluster game against the Owls is a surprise, but it will also probably prove anomalous.
OCTOBER 24
•
ROTOWIRE
Kaidon Salter - Not responsible for upset loss
Salter went 22-for-40 for 206 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against Kennesaw State on Wednesday. He also ran nine times for 87 yards.
Impact
The winless Owls upset the undefeated Flames, but Salter fulfilled his role. His rushing has ticked up recently, as he has totaled 147 yards and two touchdowns over his last two games.
OCTOBER 24
•
ROTOWIRE
Julian Gray - Records reception
Gray (undisclosed) logged one reception for three yards during Liberty's 27-24 loss Wednesday at Kennesaw State.
Impact
Gray's lone reception is his first since the Liberty began its 2024 season. Currently, the wideout's 2024 stats include two receptions for 10 yards. They are not great and far from even his production at North Carolina State, something he will look to rectify in the coming weeks.
OCTOBER 24
•
ROTOWIRE
Donte Lee Jr. - Four receptions, one touchdown
Lee (undisclosed) logged four receptions (on six targets) for 38 yards and one touchdown during Liberty's 27-24 loss Wednesday at Kennesaw State.
Impact
Four is Lee's most receptions for a Liberty game. The wide receiver's best catch was a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kaiden Salter. With the Kennesaw game and despite its loss for Liberty, Lee has seven receptions for 88 yards with his TD in 2024.

ASSOCIATED PRESS
Reese Smith - Out again Wednesday
Smith (knee) didn't make the trip to face Kennesaw State on Wednesday, Bryson Gren of The News & Advance reports.
Impact
Smith was injured on the final drive of the Flames' previous game but was thought to have a chance to return following last week's bye. Unfortunately, the junior wideout will not be able to give it a go after all, leaving the team's wideout ranks down a bit of depth Wednesday. He'll have another chance to suit up next Wednesday versus Jacksonville State.

ROTOWIRE
Donte Lee Jr. - Going through warmups
Lee (undisclosed) is dressed and warming up ahead of Liberty's clash with Kennesaw State, Bryson Gordon of NewsAdvance.com reports.
Impact
Lee hasn't played since Week 4, but it appears as if he's got a great shot to make his return to the gridiron against the Owls. The wideout has three catches for 50 yards this fall.
