Greg Desrosiers Jr. - Should be heavily involved Saturday Desrosiers is slated to be heavily involved in Memphis' ground game in Week 2 with Sutton Smith out, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Impact Desrosiers will get his chance as Memphis needs to replace its starting running back. In the opener, he scored a touchdown on four carries for six yards. He figures to see much more snaps in Week 2 and should be a critical component of the Tigers' ground game against Troy.

Mario Anderson - Set to start Saturday Anderson is slated to start Saturday's game against Troy, Frank Bonner II of The Daily Memphian reports.

Impact Anderson worked alongside Sutton Smith (leg) in the opener, but an injury will cost Smith some time, leaving Anderson to claim the lion's share of touches in the meantime. Anderson posted 10 carries for 46 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the opener and should be worthy of a look in most fantasy formats as a key piece in an explosive Memphis offense.

Sutton Smith - Not seen warming up Saturday Smith (leg) was not seen warming up ahead of Saturday's game versus Troy, Jonah Dylan of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Impact Despite being listed on the Tigers' depth chart, Smith was not seen during warmups and will likely be out for the Week 2 matchup. He was injured during last Saturday's win over North Alabama and the injury was initially thought to cost him multiple games. In his absence, Gregory Desrosiers and Brandon Thomas should see more playing time.

His absence will open the door for more touches for names such as Gregory Desrosiers and Brandon Thomas.

Impact Landphere opened up his 2024 campaign with a two-yard touchdown early in the second quarter Saturday. He led tight ends with three targets but ranked second in receiving yards with Brendan Doyle. Henigan has proved his desire to target tight ends in the redzone which will benefit both Landphere and Doyle this season.

Brendan Doyle - Opens season with TD Doyle reeled in all two targets for 33 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 40-0 win over North Alabama.

Impact Doyle scored a 32-yard touchdown Saturday, nearly beating his total yardage (34) from last season on one catch. He also caught one other one-yard pass in the redzone. Despite his light workload last season, he caught four touchdowns and proved himself as a favorite redzone target for Seth Henigan during the second half of the season. With another touchdown and another redzone target in Week 1, Doyle looks to be in line for more touchdowns in 2024.

Demeer Blankumsee - Quiet in opener Blankumsee caught 3 of 5 targets for 46 yards during Saturday's 40-0 victory versus North Alabama.

Impact Blankumsee tied with Roc Taylor for the team lead in targets and ranked second on the team in receiving yards. It was a decent start to the season, albeit a slightly disappointing one given his knack for making a big play. Just like last year, Blankumsee and Taylor are set to be the team's No. 1 and No. 2 options in the passing game, with Blankumsee representing the boom-or-bust option.

Roc Taylor - 87 yards in opener Taylor reeled in all five targets for 87 yards during Saturday's 40-0 victory over North Alabama.

Impact Taylor unsurprisingly has a strong start to his senior year, leading the team in receptions, targets and receiving yards Saturday. He established a great connection with Seth Henigan last season, gaining over 1,000 yards on 69 catches, and his 2024 campaign is off to a similar start. He and Demeer Blankumsee are the clear No. 1 and No. 2 in the passing game, with Taylor representing the more consistent option.

Impact Desrosiers got his Memphis career off to a nice start as he scored a five-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter of Saturday's blowout win. He had six touches in the game and was the clear No. 3 option behind Mario Anderson and Sutton Smith. However, Smith (leg) left the game in the first quarter, which could pave the way for Desrosiers to see an uptick in action if Smith is forced to miss time.

Mario Anderson - Scores twice in opener Anderson Jr. had 10 carries for 46 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in their only target for four yards during Saturday's 40-0 victory over North Alabama.

Impact Anderson's first game with the Tigers after transferring from South Carolina went quite well. He scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and more than doubled any of his teammates rushing attempts. While the 46 rushing yards left something to be desired, he has clearly established himself as the No. 1 option in a rushing attack that allowed Blake Watson to be one of the most productive backs in the country last season.

Seth Henigan - Strong start to season Henigan was 22-for-30 passing for 308 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 40-0 victory against North Alabama.

Impact Henigan picked up right where he left off last season, completing over 73 percent of his passes for over 300 yards and two touchdowns. It was an easy day for him against the FCS opponent, but it's still good to see him start the season on such a positive note. He faces his first FBS opponent of the season Saturday versus Troy.
