Impact Potts is working his way back to full health after suffering a season-ending injury in 2021. He was able to do some drills as Minnesota opened spring practice, but is not yet ready for full contact. Once Potts is cleared, he will be a key factor in Minnesota's backfield alongside Mohamed Ibrahim and Bryce Williams.

Impact The Gophers starting tailback suffered a season-ending achilles injury early last season, and appears to still be ramping up to full participation. Ibrahim plans to practice without pads and then workout before dawn, separate from his team, during Ramadan. According to head coach PJ Fleck, Ibrahim won't see "true contact" until fall camp rolls around. After a crushing injury ended what should've been the halfback's sendoff season, he should resume his role as a workhorse in the backfield upon return.
