Dylan Raiola - Moderate showing in victory Raiola completed 16 of 26 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 28-10 win against Purdue.

Impact Raiola did what he needed to in order to secure the victory for the Cornhuskers on a day in which they heavily relied on the ground game to dominate their opponent. Raiola's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard pass to receiver Jahmal Banks in the third quarter following a scoreless first half for both teams. The freshman quarterback has impressed to start his college career, throwing for 1,211 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions through the team's first five games. Raiola and the Cornhuskers will host Rutgers on Saturday.

Impact Alvano, who received offseason surgery on a groin issue that limited him during preseason camp, continues to suffer from the lingering effects of the injury. The 6-foot-1 sophomore kicker was held out of Friday's showdown with the Fighting Illini to rehab for at least a week, but his status moving forward is uncertain. In his absence, John Hohl, a transfer from Western Community College went 3-for-3 on extra point attempts and 1-for-2 on field goal attempts, with his miss coming from 39 yards out in the fourth quarter.

It was a welcome change to the beginning of the 2024 season, as the senior receiver struggled to get involved in the passing game prior to Saturday's matchup, hauling in just seven passes for 76 yards through the team's first three contests.
