Kaytron Allen - Catches touchdown Week 1 Allen accrued 10 carries for 20 yards and reeled in his only target for 20 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 34-12 victory against West Virginia. Impact Allen was held in check during this weather-delayed season opener for the Nittany Lions. He still logged just one more carry than fellow junior running back Nicholas Singlton; although, the latter broke free for two 40-yard rushes including a touchdown. Allen got on the scoreboard himself when he caught a pass over the middle before turning upfield for a 20-yard touchdown, marking just the third receiving touchdown of his career. After splitting a healthy rushing workload with Singleton over the past two seasons, it's likely that they'll strike a similar balance once again this year. However, with new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki in town, it seems like both players could be in store for better production then compared to last year's offsense, which significantly lacked explosiveness both on the ground and through the air.
