Impact Allen failed to eclipse 50 rushing yards for the first time since Week 1. The 5-foot-11 junior still got close to his average number of rushing attempts, but it didn't matter much as the Nittany Lions' offense failed to gain traction against the Buckeyes. Allen averaged 16.5 carries for 80.5 yards and 1.0 touchdown per game across Penn State's first four Big Ten matchups. His production should return to this level over the final four games, starting with next week's home contest versus Washington.

Nicholas Singleton - Plays pass-catching role Week 9 Singleton recorded six carries for 15 yards and hauled in all six targets for 54 yards during Saturday's 20-13 defeat versus Ohio State.
Impact Singleton tallied a season-lows in rushing attempts and yards as the Nittany Lions struggled to establish much consistency on the ground. His fantasy production didn't plummet though, as he recorded season-highs as a receiver. The junior running back actually finished with a team-high in receptions and targets ahead of tight end Tyler Warren, who saw five targets and five rushing attempts. Meanwhile, Kaytron Allen tallied a team-high 12 rushing attempts. Penn State's cast of versatile offensive skill players combined with a unique offensive scheme should continue to net Singleton touches, even if it doesn't come in a traditional flow. This was also his first game without a touchdown so far this season. He'll look to get back into the end zone during next week's home game versus Washington.

Beau Pribula - Reprises backup role versus OSU Pribula completed his lone passing attempt for four yards during Saturday's 20-13 defeat versus Ohio State.
Impact Pribula looked like he might have a chance to start Week 9 after Drew Allar left with a knee injury during the previous contest at Wisconsin. Not only did Allar suit up and start, but he also logged a season-high 10 carries. This seemed to eat into Pribula's typical role as the change-of-pace signal-caller. He also did not did get much work during Penn State's other truly close game this season versus USC in Week 7. With games against four teams that have totaled less than six wins this season, Pribula could get more action down the stretch of the year, starting with next week's contest versus 5-4 Washington.

Impact Allar came up short in what will likely end up as the Nittany Lions' biggest game of the regular season. The junior quarterback didn't look fully healthy as he worked his way back from a knee injury suffered during last week's win against Wisconsin. He still logged a season-high 10 carries, but this far from made up for his weak passing performance. Allar nearly had a passing touchdown just before the end of the half, but defensive back Davison Igbinosun made an improbable interception in the corner of the end zone. He also couldn't find an open receiver on his final 4th & goal passing attempt, resulting in a game-ending turnover on downs. The Nittany Lions' quarterback has now totaled five touchdowns to five turnovers across five games versus Big Ten opponents. He'll look to recover during this coming Saturday's home game against Washington.

Impact Warren logged one of his most productive outings of the year in what ended up as the Nittany Lions' first loss of the season. The standout senior tight end logged season-highs in rushing attempts and yards, as he continued to serve as the do-it-all player in this offense. He also ran through and around multiple defenders on a 33-yard reception that set up Penn State for a 1st & goal late in the fourth quarter. But, the team failed to push the ball into the endzone, including on a 4th & goal passing attempt that ended in an incompletion for quarterback Drew Allar. Warren has easily been the most crucial offensive skill player for Penn State this season. He should continue to do so in next week's home game versus Washington.
