Landon Ransom-Goelz - Scores in Saturday's loss Ransom-Goelz gathered in two of four targets for 42 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 34-14 defeat against Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Ransom-Goelz scored his third touchdown of the season Saturday, a 22-yard catch in garbage time late in the fourth quarter. He has gone for over 40 yards in six of his past eight games, a nice sign of consistency for the true freshman, especially considering so much of the offense is filtered through Luke McCaffrey.

Luke McCaffrey - Scores again in Saturday's loss McCaffrey gathered in 6 of 10 targets for 68 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 34-14 loss versus Texas-San Antonio.

Impact McCaffrey scored his 10th touchdown of the season Saturday, a 27-yard pass from AJ Padgett just before halftime. Padgett, who made his first start of the season, targeting McCaffrey 10 times, the fourth time this season he has seen double digit targets. He is not tied for seventh in the country in receiving touchdowns and will look to add to that total Saturday at Charlotte.

Dean Connors - Quiet in loss to UTSA Connors notched eight carries for 34 yards during Saturday's 34-14 loss to Texas-San Antonio.

Impact Connors did not play poorly Saturday, gaining over four yards per touch on 11 touches, but he did not receive a lot of work with the game getting out of hand. He was also playing a tough run defense in UTSA, and faces a more favorable matchup on that front Saturday at Charlotte.

AJ Padgett - Tosses two TDs in first start Padgett completed 17 of 28 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 34-14 defeat against Texas-San Antonio. He also had 11 rushes for -13 yards and a lost fumble.

Impact Padgett received his first start of the season Saturday and tossed two touchdowns, one to Luke McCaffery and one to Landon Ransom-Goelz. He played fine in the passing game but struggled in the run game, losing 13 yards on 11 carries and fumbling twice (one lost). If JT Daniels (concussion) is unable to go Saturday at Charlotte, Padgett will be in line to start again.

JT Daniels - Doubtful vs UTSA Head coach Mike Bloomgren indicated Tuesday that Daniels (concussion) is doubtful for Saturday's game against UTSA, Steve Helwick of SB Nation reports.

Impact Daniels exited last week's game against SMU after going down with injury and is now in line to miss his first full game of the season. In his absence, AJ Padgett or Chase Jenkins could fill in under center.

Luke McCaffrey - Scores again Saturday McCaffrey reeled in four of five targets for eight yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 36-31 loss versus Southern Methodist.

Impact McCaffery scored his ninth receiving touchdown of the season Saturday, tied for the ninth most in the country and second only to Ja'Mori Maclin in the AAC. Outside of his touchdown catch it was a very slow day for McCaffery. On four catches he gained only eight yards as the SMU defense did not allow him to get going. He will look to bounce back Saturday at UTSA.

Dean Connors - Scores twice Saturday Connors notched seven carries for 77 yards and one touchdown and caught 7 of 8 targets for 33 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 36-31 loss against Southern Methodist.

Impact Connors scored twice Saturday, first on a 14-yard reception late in the second quarter and then on a one-yard rush late in the third quarter. He now has eight touchdowns this season (five rushing, four receiving) including five in the last three games. Saturday also marked the fifth time this season he recorded 100 or more total yards.

Chase Jenkins - Slow outing in relief Jenkins was 10-for-16 passing for 85 yards and one interception during Saturday's 36-31 loss to Southern Methodist.

Impact Jenkins came into the game in the second quarter Saturday after JT Daniels suffered a concussion. Jenkins did not do much, completing over 60 percent of his passes for 85 yards and a crucial interception on the final drive with a chance to win. Given Daniels has a concussion, it would not be surprising to see Jenkins start Saturday at UTSA.

Impact Just a week after scoring three touchdowns versus Tulsa, Connors was completely outshined by Juma Otoviano. Otoviano scored twice on the ground as the pair received the exact same number of touches. Connors is still the back with higher upside, but it's a concerning sign for Connors that Otoviano is taking an equal amount of work.

Boden Groen - Scores in loss Groen caught all four targets for 19 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 30-28 defeat to Tulane.

Impact Green scored his first touchdown of the season Saturday, a four-yard reception in the third quarter to cut Tulane's lead to one score. Green has had a quietly solid season for the Owls, recording 26 receptions (on 33 targets) for 249 yards through eight games this season. Saturday marked the first time he failed to reach 20 yards too, so he has been quite consistent as well.

Impact McCaffery scored his eighth touchdown of the season Saturday, a 35-yard touchdown with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter which cut the Green Wave's lead to just two points. Even though Tulane boasts the toughest defense he has faced since Week 1 at Texas, McCaffery appears to be more or less matchup proof. That will be put to the test again Saturday as SMU has given up just 166 passing yards per game this season.

Juma Otoviano - Scores twice Saturday Otoviano posted nine rushes for 38 yards and two touchdowns and hauled in their only target for 14 yards during Saturday's 30-28 defeat to Tulane.

Impact Otoviano scored two touchdowns for the second time in his last three games Saturday. Both came from inside the five-yard line. He and Dean Connors appear to be splitting the backfield fairly evenly, and are alternating weeks of scoring multiple touchdowns. They both face a difficult matchup Saturday at SMU, as the Mustangs' defense has given up just 280 yards per game this season.

Impact Daniels tossed exactly two touchdown passes in his fourth consecutive game Saturday and has now thrown multiple touchdowns in seven straight games. After throwing for a combined 704 yards in the previous two games, he did not even hit 200 versus the tough Green Wave defense. He faces another difficult defense Saturday versus SMU as the Mustangs have given up just 166 yards passing per game this season.
