Impact Becht didn't have the prettiest of performances on Saturday, but few quarterbacks do at Iowa. He did just enough as Iowa State came back from a 13-0 deficit at halftime to win the rivalry game. He continues to take full advantage of his talented receivers as both Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel had a touchdown. The Cyclones have a well-deserved bye next week before welcoming in Arkansas State when Becht will be a full-go for fantasy purposes.

Efficient in season debut Becht was 20-for-26 passing for 267 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 21-3 victory over North Dakota. He also had four rushes for eight yards with one touchdown.

Impact Becht put forth an efficient outing against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks with three total touchdowns. He also tied a career-high with a 76.9 percent completion percentage, something he did in Week 1 (vs. Northern Iowa) and Week 10 (vs. Kansas) of the 2023 season. Most of Becht's production came with stud receivers Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins. It will be interesting to see if the Cyclones passing game will be prolific this year. They'll be put to the test next week when they play Iowa.

Impact Becht set a new career-high passing yard total with 446 in a Liberty Bowl loss against the Tigers. The 6-foot-1 redshirt freshman quarterback led an impressive campaign with the Cyclones (7-6) in 2023, totaling 3,120 yards (231-of-367), 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Becht also added on three scores on the ground, and after leading Iowa State to a bowl game with quality wins over Kansas State and Oklahoma State, he figures to start under center for the Cyclones again in 2024.

Impact Becht, a Florida-native, played in his first game ever involving snow. It didn't slow down the Iowa State offense at all as they rolled off 42 points and Becht tied a season-high with three touchdown passes. The redshirt freshman has been a pleasant surprise for the Cyclones this year and will have the opportunity to end it on a high note in a bowl game.

Impact Becht recorded his second 300-yard passing game of the season. He's been better than anticipated with 2,444 yards and 20 total touchdowns versus eight interceptions during the 2023 season. Iowa State will finish the regular season at Kansas State.

Impact It was smooth sailing for Becht against the Cougars as Iowa State had no problems moving the ball on the road. Becht threw for multiple scores for the fifth time this season. Iowa State could have perhaps the best defense in the conference which makes life easier for Becht. It will not be easy next week as the Cyclones host a great Texas team.

Impact If not for his third rushing touchdown of the season, it would have been one of Becht's worst performances of the year. He now has at least one interception in five of nine games, and it appears that better defenses are able to neutralize his impact on the game. Iowa State should be able to get back on track offensively at BYU next week.
