Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders left the game against Washington State in the second quarter after taking a big hit on a botched snap

Without helmet on sideline Sanders (arm) is on the sideline without his helmet in the first quarter of Friday's game versus Washington State, Greg Woods of The Spokesman-Review reports.

Impact Sanders took a sack in the first quarter Friday and has not entered the game since. He is currently on the sideline without his helmet on, trying to throw and warm back up. Ryan Staub is currently in the game for the Buffs. Sanders is questionable to return.

Puts in decent performance Sanders was 24-for-39 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 26-19 defeat to Oregon State. He also had seven rushes for -37 yards.

Impact This was a somewhat underwhelming performance from Sanders given the gawdy stats he's posted so far this season. The offensive line is still a serious issue in Colorado, making it difficult for Sanders to generate too many big plays. The junior quarterback will look to end the losing streak next weekend in a better matchup versus Arizona.
