Impact Jones has failed to get his running game together for two consecutive games. He's usually dependable as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, but he's now only rushed for 38 yards over two games, far short of what you'd expect from your lead back. Nathaniel Peat has stolen most of the thunder in the backfield, and Jones' struggles are definitely a problem that Stanford needs to rectify.

Impact After being named the definitive starter after Week 1, McKee wasted no time in making a massive impact in what turned out to be a decisive victory over favored USC. McKee exposed the flaws in the Trojan defense by making several crucial passes, and they weren't check-down throws, either. More often than not, he went for the long ball and connected with most of them, thanks to his talented corps of wideouts. This game is probably more about USC's collapse than Stanford being the better team, but the Cardinal has momentum now behind their newly-minted starter.

Impact Peat pulled off his stupendous run in the first play of the team's second series and hushed the home crowd as the underdogs took the lead early.
