Impact Among the Longhorns' healthy options at running back, Wisner and Jaydon Blue are the only ones to have logged stats at the FBS level. Thus, it is not all that surprising Blue and Wisner are undergoing first-team and second-team reps respectively with CJ Baxter (knee) out for 2024. If Baxter and Blue's 2023 season is any indication, Wisner is due for a significant increase in his statistical output.

Blue logged 65 carries for 398 yards (6.1 averaged per carry) and three touchdowns during his 2023 season. He also recorded 14 receptions for 137 yards and one TD. Baxter being out for 2024 gives Blue an excellent opportunity to elevate his rushing and receiving output into the next level, making him a likely breakout candidate.
