Shazz Preston - Held quiet in returnPreston (hamstring) was active during Thursday's 34-3 loss against Tulane, but didn't record any catches in the contest.
ImpactPreston made his season debut for the Green Wave after missing a significant portion of the offseason, and the start of the season, with a hamstring injury. The 6-foot sophomore, who transferred in from Alabama this offseason, has yet to record a catch at the collegiate level. Preston is likely to become a higher priority option in Tulane's passing attack, but it may take a few weeks to get the young wideout fully integrated into the offense.

Cartevious Norton - Shut down ThursdayNorton accrued five rushes for 21 yards during Thursday's 34-3 loss to Tulane.
ImpactAfter receiving at least 10 carries in each of the previous five games, Norton saw just five in Thursday's blowout loss. He was also out-carried and out-rushed by Hahsaun Wilson who, with his 68 yards Thursday, is now the team's leading rusher on the season. Norton will likely still receive more carries than Wilson, but Wilson has proven to be the more efficient back.

O'Mega Blake - 52 yards versus TulaneBlake caught 3 of 6 targets for 52 yards during Thursday's 34-3 defeat to Tulane.
ImpactBlake had a fairly quiet day with 52 yards on three catches, but considering the 49ers' quarterbacks combined to complete seven of 22 passes for 69 yards and an interception, it was a pretty solid performance from Blake. He is clearly the team's No. 1 option in the passing game, however the passing game is so inconsistent with the constant rotation of quarterbacks. Blake has proven his ability to breakout for massive performances, but he's also capable of very quiet performances too.

Justin Olson - Inactive Week 10Olson (lower body) did not appear in Thursday's 34-3 loss against Tulane.
ImpactOlson, who was spotted on crutches earlier this season, last saw the field in Week 2 against UNC. The 6-foot-3 graduate senior, who tallied 43 receptions for 450 yards and one touchdown with MTSU last season, has yet to be unleashed with the 49ers. It remains to be seen if Olson will be able to return this season.

Hahsaun Wilson - Paces backfield ThursdayWilson compiled six carries for 68 yards and caught 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Thursday's 34-3 defeat versus Tulane.
ImpactWilson led the team in rushing attempts and yards Thursday and tripled Cartevious Norton's yardage on the day. Wilson now leads the team in rushing this season despite receiving 26 fewer carries than Norton as he is averaging 6.7 yards per carry compared to Norton's 4.6. It appears likely that this will be a split backfield for the rest of the campaign, but Wilson is likely the better option given he's more efficient and has scored more touchdowns.

Max Brown - Shut down in bench appearanceBrown completed 2 of 10 passes for three yards during Thursday's 34-3 loss against Tulane. He also had three rushes for 25 yards.
ImpactBrown replaced starter Deshawn Purdie in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game and struggled massively. He completed just two of his 10 passes for only three yards, although he added 25 yards on the ground. Purdie struggled against the tough Tulane defense too as he threw a pick-six and completed under 50 percent of his passes. The 49ers are leaving Thursday's blowout loss with more questions than answers at the quarterback position, but regardless of who starts after the bye, the position group is best avoided for fantasy managers.
NOVEMBER 1, 2024ROTOWIRE
Deshawn Purdie - Benched in fourth quarterPurdie was 5-for-12 passing for 66 yards and one interception during Thursday's 34-3 loss versus Tulane.
ImpactPurdie started Thursday's game and an in inverse of last week, he was benched for Max Brown in the fourth quarter. Purdie completed just over 40 percent of his passes Thursday and after throwing a pick-six and then leading a three-and-out on the following possession, Brown came into replace him early in the fourth quarter. Brown completed just two of his 10 passes for three yards, so it's safe to say that he did not light it up. There are still massive question marks surrounding the 49ers quarterback situation, although neither of them would be particularly relevant in fantasy regardless.
