Jalen Kitna - Improves in second start Kitna completed 25 of 39 passes for 242 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 44-10 loss versus Army. He also had eight rushes for negative nine yards.

Impact Kitna made his second straight start Saturday with Jacob Zeno (shoulder) out and performed much better than he did in the first outing. He completed 64 percent of his passes and threw a touchdown to Amare Thomas, however he threw another two interceptions, bringing him up to five in two starts. If Zeno is unable to go again Saturday at USF, Kitna will be in line to start once again.

Impact Kitna will draw a second consecutive start in place of Jacob Zeno (shoulder). Kitna struggled in his UAB debut last week, completing just 48.8 percent of his attempts with three interceptions. He'll face another tough test against Army in Week 7.

Impact Zeno is dealing with a shoulder issue that has kept him out last week, and it appears he's slated to miss another contest Saturday. The senior will yield Saturday's start to Jalen Kitna and will likely shift his focus toward potentially returning next week versus USF.

Iverson Hooks - Another solid outing Hooks tallied six receptions (on 10 targets) for 53 yards during Saturday's 71-20 defeat to Tulane.

Impact Hooks was very involved in the Blazers' passing game once again Saturday as he was tied for the team lead in targets with 10 and caught the most passes on the team with six. He gained over 50 yards for the second straight game as well. It appears UAB has found something they like in the redshirt freshman, so he is worth keeping an eye on as the season progresses.

Amare Thomas - Catches long TD Saturday Thomas posted five receptions (on 10 targets) for 98 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 71-20 loss to Tulane.

Impact Thomas scored a 73-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter Saturday, a play which salvaged a strong individual performance despite the blowout loss. It marked Thomas' third touchdown of the season. He tied a season high with five receptions Saturday and set season highs with 98 yards and 10 targets. Even with a different quarterback throwing him the ball, Thomas showed that he is the team's No. 1 passing option.

Lee Beebe Jr. - Decent in loss Beebe accrued nine carries for 78 yards and hauled in 2 of 3 targets for 20 yards during Saturday's 71-20 defeat to Tulane.

Impact Beebe logged 98 yards from scrimmage Saturday, his second most this season. He did it on just 11 touches too, so it was a fairly efficient day despite his team losing by 51 points. Beebe has found a way to stay relevant despite the Blazers poor performances as he has gained at least 82 yards in every game this season.

Jalen Kitna - Struggles in debut Kitna was 20-for-41 passing for 239 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions during Saturday's 71-20 defeat to Tulane.

Impact Kitna made his UAB debut Saturday and it did not go great. He completed fewer than 50 percent of his 41 attempts and threw three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns. He did throw one touchdown though, a 73-yard strike to Amare Thomas in the fourth quarter. If Jacob Zeno (shoulder) is unable to go again on Saturday at Army, Kitna will likely start again.

Isaiah Jacobs - Ruled out Saturday Jacobs (undisclosed) didn't play in UAB's loss to Tulane on Saturday, per Steve Irvine of BhamBanner.com.

Impact Jacobs was unable ti play Saturday resulting in Lee Witherspoon seeing an uptick in playing time. Jacobs will try to return for next week's matchup versus Army.

Impact Zeno was considered questionable for the Tulane game, but it appears as if he's slated to sit this out one while he continues to rehab his shoulder injury. That should leave Jalen Kitna in line to start against the Green Wave.

Impact Hooks finally got involved in the Blazers' offense Saturday as he made his first three receptions of the season and scores his first touchdown, a 39-yard catch in the third quarter. His lack of work up until this point was very concerning, but this could be the outing he needed to establish a place in the team's passing game.

Lee Beebe Jr. - Scores in blowout loss Beebe logged 15 carries for 82 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 1 of 3 targets for 12 yards during Saturday's 41-18 defeat to Navy.

Impact Beebe had another productive outing Saturday as he scored his third rushing touchdown of the season, a two-yard rush in the fourth quarter. He also tied a season high with 82 yards on the ground and gained over 80 yards from scrimmage in his fourth straight outing. His consistent workload -- even when the Blazers are losing -- gives him a high floor even in difficult matchups, which he is set to face in each of the next two weeks.

Jacob Zeno - Two interceptions in loss Zeno was 14-for-22 passing for 202 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 41-18 loss against Navy. He also had 14 rushes for 54 yards.

Impact Zeno did not have a great outing in Saturday's blowout loss, highlighted by him throwing a season-high two interceptions. He completed over 60 percent of his passes and threw for over 200 yards, but his lone touchdown was not enough to make the game close or salvage a productive fantasy outing. One positive sign was him rushing for a career-high 54 yards on 14 attempts. If he can consistently add that rushing upside to his decent passing numbers, he could find his way into a productive second half of the season.
