Chris Carpenter - Six catches Saturday Carpenter notched six receptions (on nine targets) for 61 yards during Saturday's 30-20 loss against East Carolina.

Impact Carpenter had easily his best outing of the season Saturday as he set season highs in receptions, targets and receiving yards. He was tied for the team lead with nine targets and caught a team-best six passes. This type of volume will likely not be the norm considering the Roadrunners will likely not attempt 50 passes in every game moving forward. However, he clearly found a good connection with Owen McCown which could pay dividends during the second half of the season.

Devin McCuin - Quiet in Saturday's loss McCuin logged three receptions (on seven targets) for 18 yards during Saturday's 30-20 loss to East Carolina.

Impact McCuin set season lows in receptions and receiving yards Saturday, a disappointing outing especially considering it came in a game where the Roadrunners attempted over 50 passes. After an electric opening game in Week 1, McCuin has not gone for over 45 yards in his previous four games, a concerning lack of production in a high volume passing attack.

Willie McCoy - Solid in Saturday's loss McCoy gathered in 4 of 9 targets for 91 yards during Saturday's 30-20 defeat to East Carolina.

Impact McCoy recorded a season-high 91 yards Saturday, his second straight game with over 80 yards. He also tied a season high and tied for the team lead with nine targets Saturday. Even though he has not caught more than four passes in a game this season, he has shown his ability to produce on limited catches.

Brandon High Jr. - Scores long TD Saturday High totaled seven carries for 92 yards and one touchdown and caught their only target for three yards during Saturday's 30-20 loss to East Carolina.

Impact High scored a 66-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter Saturday, his second straight game with a rushing touchdown. He was out carried by both Robert Henry and Kevorian Barnes, but thanks to his long touchdown run, High was by far the most productive. Even though the Roadrunners clearly have a committee backfield, High is now definitively a part of it and has shown his ability to make big plays.

Owen McCown - Struggles in loss McCown was 24-for-49 passing for 251 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 30-20 defeat against East Carolina. He also had seven rushes for 11 yards.

Impact McCown had a rough outing Saturday as he completed less than 50 percent of his 49 pass attempts and threw two interceptions, his first two turnovers of the season. Despite throwing for over 250 yards, his second most this season, his lone touchdown pass was not enough to salvage a productive day. In his three games this season versus difficult opponents -- at Texas State, at Texas and at East Carolina -- he has struggled massively. He has a bye week this week before facing what should be an easier opponent on the road versus Rice in Week 7.

David Amador II - Sits out game again Amador (undisclosed) did not play during UTSA's 30-20 loss Saturday at East Carolina.

Impact Unlike before UTSA's other games played during September, JJ Perez of 247Sports did not publicize a status update for Amador. The wideout will be out until further notice.

De'Corian Clark - Active Saturday Clark (knee) is active and playing in the game versus ECU Saturday, JJ Perez of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Clark was seen in warmups earlier so it was probable that he would end up playing. The senior will look to make his mark as he has been sidelined with injury for just about the whole season so far.

De'Corian Clark - Warming up Saturday Clark (knee) is in uniform and warming up ahead of Saturday's game against ECU, JJ Perez of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Clark appears in line to make his season Saturday -- the senior wideout hasn't played since Week 6 last year. Clark figures to step back into a prominent role in UTSA's offense after topping 700 yards in 2021 and 2022.

Impact McCoy scored his second touchdown of the season Saturday, a 59-yard reception in the second quarter. He also caught another 36-yard pass to complete his productive day. He has gained at least 59 yards in three of four games this season, a promising sign heading into conference play where the Roadrunners will play almost exclusively subpar defenses.

Kevorian Barnes - Productive versus Houston Christian Barnes had 12 rushes for 64 yards and one touchdown and caught 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 45-7 victory versus Houston Christian.

Impact Barnes had his first productive game of the season Saturday as he rushed for over 60 yards and scored his first touchdown of the season. He could have done a lot more too, but he was one of four running backs to receive over six carries due to the blowout. He appears to be the lead back in the Roadrunners' committee, and should be able to produce more consistently versus weaker defenses in conference play.

Owen McCown - Productive in blowout win McCown completed 18 of 25 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 45-7 victory against Houston Christian.

Impact McCown was back on track Saturday as he threw three touchdown passes for the second time this season. He also completed over 72 percent of his passes for the third time this season and continued his turnover-less streak to four games. After jumping out to a big lead, Eddie Lee Marburger replaced him late in the third quarter. McCown is hot heading into conference play where he faces weak defenses throughout the majority of the rest of the season.

Robert Henry Jr. - Scores lone touchdown Saturday Henry tallied six carries for 65 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 0 of 1 targets for zero yards during Saturday's 56-7 loss versus Texas.

Impact Henry was the only Roadrunner to reach the endzone Saturday, doing so on a 53-yard touchdown scamper in the second quarter. The team once again featured a heavy committee in the backfield and that does not look like it's going away any time soon. While Henry has flashed his big play ability, his lack of consistent touches limits his value.

Devin McCuin - Leads receiving attack Saturday McCuin caught all five targets for 27 yards during Saturday's 56-7 loss to Texas.

Impact While it was not a stand-out game for McCuin, he once again led the team in all receiving categories. He's had a very strong start to the campaign, accumulating 22 catches (on 27 targets) for 135 yards and two touchdowns through three games. Once he starts facing weaker opponents in conference play, he should be able to produce at a high level like he showed in Week 1.
