Owen McCown - Quiet versus Texas McCown completed 21 of 29 passes for 132 yards during Saturday's 56-7 loss versus Texas. He also had seven rushes for negative eight yards.

Impact After a rough outing last week at Texas State where McCown was benched at halftime, there were major concerns heading into Saturday's game versus one of the best teams in the country. While McCown was not particularly good in the blowout loss, he was efficient and did not make any major mistakes. He did not turn the ball over for the third straight game and he completed over 70 percent of his passes for the second time this season. Now that his most difficult opponent is out of the way, he should be able to get back on track and have a productive rest of the season.
