Malachi Corley - Nets 63 yards Corley caught six passes for 63 yards versus Army on Saturday.

Impact Corley got into a few games as a true freshman in 2020 - not enough to burn a potential redshirt mind you - but only had six receptions. This year he's more involved, as he already has 11 catches. You'd like to see more yards per reception, but Corley does seem like he has potential as a possession receiver.

Mitchell Tinsley - Finds end zone Tinsley caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown versus Army on Saturday.

Impact Jerreth Sterns is the clear top target in this passing game, but quarterback Bailey Zappe has gone over 400 yards in both of his starts. Clearly there are plenty of opportunities to go around. Tinsley should be able to have a few games like this.

Jerreth Sterns - Loving life at WKU Sterns caught nine passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns against Army on Saturday.

Impact Sterns (along with his quarterback and offensive coordinator) came over from Houston Baptist this offseason. So far the receiver has 16 catches for 278 yards and four touchdowns. It's starting to feel like Sterns has the potential to lead the nation in receiving yards in this offense.

Noah Whittington - Rushes for 33 yards Whittington rushed eight times for 33 yards against Army on Saturday.

Impact This is a bit of a surprise. Whittington entered this season at the bottom of the running back depth chart, but in this game he got eight of the 11 carries that went to backs. Frankly, WKU is all about the passing game. The run game is going to be an afterthought this year.

Bailey Zappe - Another big game Zappe went 28-for-40 for 435 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against Army on Saturday. He also rushed for a touchdown.

Impact Well through two games the "Move Houston Baptist's passing game to Conference USA" plan is going swimmingly for WKU. Zappe has thrown for 859 yards, 10 touchdowns, and two picks through two games. He could put up some of the biggest numbers in college football at this rate.

Joshua Simon - Done for 2021 Simon (knee) will miss the remainder of the 2021 season, Jared MacDonald of The Bowling Green Daily News reports.

Impact Simon was deemed a game-time decision leading up to the tilt but it appears his issue has been deemed serious enough to end his 2021 campaign. The sophomore tight end reeled in three passes for 73 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the opener before leaving due to injruy, so this is certainly a disappointing outcome.

Joshua Simon - Ruled game-time decision Simon (knee) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's game against Army, Tyler Mansfield of Rivals.com reports.

Impact Simon injured his knee in last Saturday's season opener against Tennessee-Martin and it appears he'll come down right to the wire regarding his availability for Week 2. The junior tight end had an impactful performance last week, hauling in three passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns.
