Suffers ankle injury Arline suffered an ankle injury during the Navy's game Saturday at SMU, Bill Wagner of The Capital Gazette reports.

Impact Arline attempted to return but was uncomfortable operating on the injured ankle, and so he ended his Week 13 game with zero completions and negative passing yards. Now, his next opportunity to play is against the Army on Dec. 9.

Decent enough in win Arline was 10-for-11 passing for 102 yards during Saturday's 10-0 win versus East Carolina. He also had 18 rushes for 68 yards and two lost fumbles.

Impact Arline had a solid day Saturday, especially in the passing game where he threw just one incomplete pass on 11 attempts. He also ran for 68 yards, but lost two fumbles in the game, on back-to-back drives in the second quarter. Still, he did enough to lead the Midshipmen to a second straight win and now has two chances to gather the sixth win of the season and secure a bid to a bowl game, starting Saturday at SMU.

Productive in Saturday's win Arline completed 7 of 10 passes for 94 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 31-6 victory over UAB. He also had 19 rushes for 109 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Arline accounted for two touchdowns Saturday, a 45-yard touchdown pass to Regis Velez and a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter which sealed the win. He has been productive in his two starts since taking over the starting role, and that production will likely keep him in the job for the remaining three regular season games.

Impact Arline was surprisingly announced as the starting quarterback ahead of Saturday's game, becoming the fourth player to start at quarterback for the Midshipmen this season. He put together a decent outing, throwing for one touchdown -- a 24-yarder to Eli Heidenreich -- and running for another. Given his fairly productive performance, he could be in line to start again Saturday at UAB.

Re-injured playing lacrosse Arline was seen wearing a walking boot in the second half of a lacrosse game he started in March, Bill Wagner of The Capital Gazette reports.

Impact Arline suffered a lower body injury in the Army game at the end of last season. He was apparently healthy enough to play lacrosse, but then injured himself again. The severity of the injury is unknown, but hopefully he is okay to start the 2022 season.

He was much more effective on the ground than Lavatai and could lead a more effective offense as the starter in Week 2.
