Surges to second in Hong Kong Burmester finished solo second at LIV Golf Hong Kong with a cumulative score of 15-under. Impact Burmester started the final round four shots back of Paul Casey, Peter Uihlein and eventual tournament winner Sergio Garcia for the clubhouse lead. Burmester was going to be a long shot to capture his second LIV Golf trophy -- especially with the way Garcia was playing -- but the South African managed to scale up the leaderboard with a bogey-free, eight-under 62 final round where he carded six birdies and an eagle on the par-5 third hole. Although Burmester finished near the middle of the pack in driving accuracy and GIR, he co-led the field in putts per hole (1.48) with Lucas Herbert and finished T2 in birdies made (18) with Garcia. Burmester has started the 2025 LIV Golf season with finishes of T4-T12-2. He sits third in the individual standings with 51.66 points heading into Singapore, where he finished T14 in 2024.
