Spieth-like performance at Hero Spieth finished in solo sixth place after shooting a four-under 68 in the final round of the Hero World Challenge. Impact The fun from Spieth started in round one when he recorded two eagles, six birdies, four bogeys and a double-bogey to get to within one of the lead. A solid 67 on Friday put him in the final group in round three with Scottie Scheffler. Spieth would lose touch with some really poor driving on Saturday and then ride a hot putter on Sunday up to a share of third before fading back to sixth with two bad bogeys to close. Unpredictability is the only predictable thing in Spieth's game. The three-time major champion is going to make a lot of birdies but also a lot of big numbers. If he can do a better job of not compounding mistakes Spieth has a chance to return as one of the top players in the game again in 2024.
