Impact 2025 was expected to be the year that marked Hughes' eighth entry into the Farmers Insurance Open, but he will miss out because of an undisclosed problem. Earlier this month, he logged a score of 8 in Hawaii and got -10 in four rounds of The American Express.

Leads in SG: Putting in Sea Island Hughes posted a two-under 68 on Sunday at The RSM Classic to finish in a share of fifth place.

Impact Hughes started the day two back of the lead, and he got off to a good start with two birdies in the first six holes to get within one. The momentum stalled from there, however, as he only carded one more birdie the rest of the day and had to settle for a top-5 finish. In his usual form, Hughes was led by his short game, ranking second in SG: Around the green and first in putting for the tournament.

T67 at Bermuda Championship Hughes carded a six-over 77 on Sunday at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to finish one-over and tied for 67th.

Impact Hughes played his first eight holes of Sunday's final round in six-over-par before parring out the rest of the way, ultimately hitting just seven fairways in regulation and converting only two of seven scrambling opportunities in the process. The Canadian uncharacteristically finished the week ranked 72nd of 75 in scrambling. Nonetheless, Hughes remains 51st in the FedExCup Fall standings ahead of the upcoming RSM Classic.

Second straight top-10 Hughes fired an eight-under 64 in the final round to move up into a share of eighth place at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Impact Hughes put together his best round of the week on Sunday and that propelled him up the leaderboard 23 places from where he started. He was able to overcome some poor driving this week ranking 14th in SG: Approach and 10th in SG: Putting. Hughes has now finished T4 and T8 in two fall events with a Presidents Cup showing in between. He is not in the field for the Black Desert Championship next week, however.
