Runner-up in Sea Island Hughes closed with a final round seven-under 63 at The RSM Classic, finishing four shots behind champion Ludvig Aberg. Impact Hughes began Sunday's round just two strokes off the lead, and he got off to a nice start with a pair of birdies within the first three holes to narrow the gap to one. That was as close as he would get despite a bogey-free round with seven birdies, however, as he was unable to keep pace with Aberg's nine-under 61. Hughes continues to show an affinity for the event as he won in 2016 and finished runner-up two years ago. He secured his spot in the first two signature events next year by finishing in the top-10 of the FedExCup Fall Standings.
