Impact In his first start since withdrawing from The RSM Classic in November, Kim racked up 23 total birdies and an eagle across 72 holes at Kapalua's Plantation Course where he ranked T8 among the field in putts per GIR. However, he finished just 56th of 58 in GIR percentage, losing 0.578 strokes with his irons. Kim now heads to Waialae Country Club with past champion status at the Sony Open in Hawaii, having won here in 2023 when he convincingly paced the field in SG: Approach.

This was Kim's third straight top-20 finish after he went six straight events without a single top-20 result. Impact Kim had a bit of an off driving week, but ranked sixth in SG: Approach and fifth in putts per GIR. This T5 finish was his best result of the season just ahead of a T6 at THE PLAYERS Championship. Those were his only two top-10 finishes of the season believe it or not. It was a strong effort to try to make the TOUR Championship field, but tying for fifth with four other players left him just on the outside looking in of the top-30 at No. 32 in the standings. Kim will hope to earn a captain's pick for the Presidents Cup next month. He was perhaps the International Team's best player last time around in 2022 at Quail Hollow.
