Picks up third straight win Manoah (8-2) allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5.2 innings as he got the win over the Twins on Sunday. Impact Manoah found himself in some trouble early on. Two runners were in scoring position with one out in the opening frame but the hard-throwing rookie was able to get himself out of it with back-to-back strikeouts. He couldn't replicate the same success the following inning, however, as the Twins got two men on once again and got a run across. Manoah would later surrender his second run of the night when Byron Buxton took him deep in the fifth to make it a 4-2 ballgame. The 23-year-old rookie got up to 102 pitches in this one and pitched well enough to secure his third straight win. He now owns an impressive 3.35 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 117:39 K:BB over 104.2 innings. The American League Rookie of the Year candidate is expected to take the mound once more in the regular season next weekend against Baltimore.
