Out with groin strain Senzatela was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right groin Saturday.

Impact The move can be backdated to Friday, making Senzatela eligible to return May 10, though it's not yet clear if he's expected to do so. He's struggled to a 5.76 ERA and 1.55 WHIP through six starts this season. Lucas Gilbreath was recalled in a corresponding move.

The 26-year-old saw now has a 5.76 ERA for a Rockies team that has struggled immensely all season. After what many believed to be a breakout year in 2020, Senzatela has regressed in a small sample size in 2021.

Impact Senzatela gave up a two-run shot to Rhys Hoskins as part of a four-run third inning, but he settled down afterward and only allowed two baserunners the rest of the way before being lifted. It hasn't been a good start to the season for the 26-year-old right-hander, though, as he has given up four or more runs in three of his first five outings while posting a 5.76 ERA.

The 26-year-old induced 14 groundball outs and allowed runners to get into scoring position on only three occasions. Despite his first two starts coming at Coors Field, Senzatela has yet to surrender a home run through 11.1 innings. Impact The right-hander didn't serve up any homers, but that's about the only positive takeaway from an otherwise rough 2021 debut.
