Impact Senzatela allowed a home run to Juan Soto in the first inning, but he scattered six additional hits and avoided further significant damage. Senzatela exited the game in the fifth frame with runners on first and third but was bailed out by Jhoulys Chacin who induced a double play from the first batter he faced. As is usually the case, Senzatela was reliant upon generating soft contact as he recorded only one strikeout and five swinging strikes on 86 total pitches. Impact Senzatela wasn't dominant, but he used groundballs to limit the damage, as he induced double plays to end each of the fourth, fifth and sixth frames. Despite the positive outing, Senzatela has a minuscule 6.9 percent strikeout rate for the season and has failed to punch out more than three batters in any start. Impact The Tigers jumped on Senzatela early, as he allowed four of his five runs in the first inning. He did manage to settle in from there to give the Rockies some length in his outing, though the game was never particularly competitive. Senzatela has never possessed particularly strong swing-and-miss stuff, though he has a particularly poor five strikeouts across 13.1 innings this season. Even if he is able to limit hard contact, Senzatela's inability to miss bats will likely mean he runs into trouble regularly -- particularly when pitching at home.

Impact Senzatela scattered seven hits to prevent any one big inning and Colorado immediately responded to being down 1-0 with four runs in the bottom of the inning. It was an excellent rebound from permitting four runs in 3.1 innings on Sunday, though it would've been nice to Senzatela work more than 86 pitches and five innings.
