Impact Fletcher made a third straight start in place of Corbin Carroll, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury since last Thursday. Carroll served as a pinch hitter Sunday and could rejoin the team Tuesday, which would curb Fletcher's at-bats. It's unclear how the Diamondbacks will adjust the lineup once Carroll is ready, as they currently have six outfielders on the roster. Presumably, either Fletcher or Kyle Lewis will head back to Triple-A Reno.

Impact This was Carroll's first activity in a game after sustaining a shoulder injury last Thursday. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo told Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic the outfielder will "most likely" return to the starting lineup Tuesday against the Mets.

Carson Kelly - Hits first homer of season Kelly went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Angels.
Impact Kelly has provided four of his five RBI on the season over his last three games. The catcher started slowly but has hit safely in five of his last six contests. He's batting .212 with a homer, a double and two runs scored through 36 plate appearances. Gabriel Moreno continues to hold a slight edge for playing time, but Kelly could force an even split if he can keep his bat warm.

Zac Gallen - Strikes out 12 in loss Gallen (10-3) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out 12 over seven innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Angels.
Impact Gallen was shaky early on, giving up a solo home run to Mike Trout and a three-run blast to Mickey Moniak over the first two frames. After that, Gallen settled down, but the Diamondbacks couldn't claw it back. This was the right-hander's fourth double-digit strikeout game of the season. He's pitched to an excellent 3.15 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 120:23 K:BB through 111.1 innings over 18 starts. He'll likely get one more turn in the first half, tentatively projected to be a home start versus the Pirates before taking his talents to the All-Star Game.

Impact Moreno logged his second consecutive multi-hit effort and picked up his first steal since May 29. The catcher didn't have a great June, batting just .190 over 19 contests, but he's off to a better start in July. For the season, he's maintained a .271/.308/.350 slash line with two home runs, four steals, 26 RBI and 16 runs scored across 64 games.
