Ketel Marte - Clubs 12th homer Marte went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run during Thursday's 5-3 win over the Nationals.
Impact The 29-year-old went deep during the seventh inning to give Arizona a four-run advantage, which proved pivotal since Washington rallied for a couple late runs. Marte extended his on-base streak to 16 games and is hitting .328 with four home runs, 14 RBI, 20 runs and a 14:9 BB:K during that span.

Scott McGough - Notches two-out save McGough earned his fifth save in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Nationals by retiring both batters he faced. He struck out one.
Impact The right-hander picked up a two-out save Wednesday in Milwaukee and was called upon again Thursday after fellow reliever Joe Mantiply was unable to maintain Arizona's four-run advantage. McGough now has saves in each of his past three appearances, and he hasn't given up an earned run in his past 21 frames. Miguel Castro and Andrew Chafin lead the Diamondbacks with seven and eight saves, respectively, but McGough appears to have become the preferred option in the closing committee.

Impact The left-hander surrendered a solo homer to Lane Thomas during the third inning but otherwise kept the Nationals off the board to notch his fifth quality start of the year.
