Miguel Castro - Records seventh save Castro picked up the save Monday against Philadelphia. He allowed one run on two hits while striking out one over one inning. He did not walk a batter.
Impact Castro cut it close, giving up half of Arizona's lead before successfully closing out the game. The right-hander has had a shaky month of June, giving up six runs across three innings. With the Diamondbacks using a closer-by-committee approach, fantasy managers can't count on him continuing to get consistent save opportunities if he keeps giving up runs.

Tommy Henry - Turns in another forgettable outing Henry did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing five runs on nine hits and one walk over 4.2 innings against the Phillies. He struck out six.
Impact Henry has now allowed five runs in each of his last two starts, without completing five innings in either one of them. The southpaw showed flashes of greatness in his seven-inning scoreless performance on May 31 against the Rockies, but he hasn't been able to consistently put it all together this year. The second-year player currently sports an unimpressive 4.86 ERA and 1.38 ERA.

Emmanuel Rivera - Hot bat continues Rivera went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-8 win over the Phillies.
Impact Rivera was a pivotal contributor in the Diamondbacks' comeback from a 5-1 deficit. He singled and scored in the third and fourth innings, including an RBI knock, then brought in another run with a sacrifice fly. Rivera continues to swing a hot bat, having hit safely in 13 of the last 15 games (22-for-55, .400), including multiple hits in eight of them.

Evan Longoria - Creates cushion with homer Longoria went 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Monday's 9-8 win over Philadelphia.
Impact Longoria knocked in a run on a sacrifice fly in the first inning then gave Arizona needed cushion in the sixth with a three-run home run. It was the seventh home run in the last 19 games for the 37-year-old veteran, who's slugging like a rookie again. For the season, Longoria is slugging .538, which would rank 12th in MLB if he qualified. And therein lies the issue for Longoria -- playing time. He has just 116 plate appearances over the team's 66 games.

Impact Ginkel's demotion clears room in the bullpen for lefty Joe Mantiply (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list. After winning a spot in Arizona's Opening Day bullpen, Ginkel scooped up three wins and one hold while pitching to a 2.76 ERA and 1.13 WHIP across 29.1 innings. He should rank near the top of the list for a promotion the next time Arizona is in need of an extra relief arm.

Impact Kelly will make his return to the Diamondbacks' roster after he was placed on the injured list in late March with a fractured right forearm. The 28-year-old will be returning to a first place Arizona squad after he produced a .345 average with three doubles, four RBI and five runs scored over 29 at-bats over his eight-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Reno. Kelly will have to compete with Gabriel Moreno for reps at catcher moving forward, though Kelly could be eased back into fielding duties and operate more frequently as a designated hitter for the time being. He is coming off of a down year in 2022 where he posted a .211/.282/.334 slash line, all of which were his lowest marks over his three seasons with Arizona.

Kyle Lewis - Activated and optioned Lewis was activated from the 10-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Impact Lewis is evidently over the undiclosed illness which has kept him sidelined since early April. However, the Diamondbacks decided they don't have a spot for him on the major-league club right now, so he'll remain in Reno where he had been on his rehab assignment.

Jose Herrera - Moves down to Triple-A The Diamondbacks optioned Herrera to Triple-A Reno on Monday, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.
Impact Herrera broke camp with the Diamondbacks out of spring training as the No. 2 catcher behind Gabriel Moreno while Carson Kelly was shelved with a fractured forearm. Though Moreno has dominated the playing time behind the dish, Herrera has been serviceable when called upon, compiling a .255/.344/.327 slash line over 68 plate appearances. With Kelly returning from the 60-day injured list Monday and ready to handle duties as Moreno's top understudy, the Diamondbacks didn't have room on the active roster for Herrera as a third catcher. The 25-year-old should get the opportunity to play on a more frequent basis in Reno.

Impact Misiewicz will be removed from a team's 40-man roster for the third time this season after the Royals and Cardinals previously designated him for assignment. The 28-year-old lefty reliever was recently reinstated from the 15-day injured list after missing time with a calf strain. If Misiewicz isn't traded elsewhere or goes unclaimed off waivers, he'll likely remain in the Diamondbacks organization as relief depth at Triple-A Reno.
