Gabriel Moreno - Racks up three hits, steals base Moreno went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a stolen base against Miami in a 5-2 victory Monday.

Impact Moreno posted his second three-hit performance of the season, with his single in the sixth inning plating one of Arizona's five runs. The catcher also stole his first base as a big-leaguer in the fifth, though he was stranded at second. Moreno has been mostly as advertised so far this season, posting a standout .315 batting average but producing just one homer through 89 plate appearances.

Christian Walker - Stays hot Monday Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional RBI in a 5-2 win against the Marlins on Moday.

Impact Walker plated the first run of the game with a double in the fourth inning, and he smashed a massive 459-foot solo shot two frames later. Zac Gallen - Masterful again Monday Gallen (5-1) earned the win over Miami on Monday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over seven innings.

Impact Gallen tied his season high with seven innings in the victory, and he likely could have gone deeper given that he threw a modest 90 pitches. The right-hander didn't allow any homers for the sixth straight outing and registered his fifth quality start over that span. After starting the season with two subpar starts, Gallen has been incredible across his past six trips to the mound, posting a minuscule 0.92 ERA and 0.62 WHIP with a ridiculous 54:2 K:BB over 39 innings. He's tied for the NL lead with five wins and ranks second in MLB with 64 punchouts on the campaign.

Brandon Pfaadt - Gets another turn through rotation Pfaadt is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Marlins at Chase Field.

Impact Even though Pfaadt was tagged for seven earned runs on nine hits -- including four home runs -- in his MLB debut last Wednesday at Texas, the Diamondbacks will give one of their top pitching prospects at least one more chance to prove he's worthy of a longer stay in the big-league rotation. Assuming Pfaadt can escape Tuesday's outing with a more credible line than he submitted in his debut, he'll likely receive his second start of the week this upcoming Sunday against the Giants, also at Chase Field. Pfaadt led all minor leaguers with 218 strikeouts in 2022 and never posted a walk rate above 6.5 percent across any of his stops as a professional, so if he can do a better job of limiting damage on flyballs in his future starts, the right-hander's fantasy upside could be immense.

Ryan Bliss - Earns org's monthly player award Bliss earned the organization's Player of the Month award for April, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Impact Bliss hit .410 (1.050 OPS) with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 14 RBI and eight stolen bases over 18 games at Double-A Amarillo. The shortstop hasn't stopped hitting in May, collecting two homers and five RBI with a .919 OPS through five games. It's a huge turnaround for the Diamondbacks' second-round pick in the 2021 draft, who hit .214 with a .641 OPS last year for High-A Hillsboro. Bliss opted to grind through the season instead of working on his swing at the team's training facility and performed better, hitting .262 (.818 OPS) over July and August.

Impact Fletcher made a fifth consecutive start and has hit safely in all six appearances (9-for-21) since being called up from Triple-A Reno. He was originally added following Corbin Carroll's knee injury and continues to start while the Diamondbacks ease Carroll back into the lineup at DH. On Sunday, Fletcher started in center field for Alek Thomas, who trails all rostered Diamondbacks with a .192 average. Thomas is the more highly regarded prospect, but if the organization wants get him straightened out at Reno, Fletcher has experience at all outfield positions, including center field, in the minors.

Josh Rojas - Three walks, stolen base in loss Rojas went 0-for-3 with three walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 9-8 loss to the Nationals.

Impact Rojas hadn't drawn a walk since April 23, and he hit just .190 (4-for-21) in that span. The infielder is still regularly hitting leadoff versus right-handed pitchers, but he has a modest .263/.315/.343 slash line through 111 plate appearances this season. He's added 18 BI, 16 runs scored and four stolen bases, but he's yet to hit a home run in 28 contests.
