Impact The veteran closer notched his first hold of the campaign, but it was nonetheless a discouraging outing. Chapman was brought in to protect a three-run lead in the ninth inning and had to be rescued by Wandy Peralta, who got the final out with the bases loaded to notch his fifth save. Chapman struggled mightily with his control, throwing only 12 of 26 pitches for strikes and issuing two walks. Since returning from the injured list Aug. 18, Chapman has not registered a save, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks across 2.1 frames.
