Amir Garrett - Nails down fifth saveGarrett gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his fifth save of the season in a 4-1 win over Atlanta.

ImpactThe southpaw continues to look more like the pitcher the Reds were expecting to lock down a high-leverage role for them this season. Over his last 10 appearances Garrett has been scored upon only once, posting a 2.84 ERA and 10:2 K:BB through 6.1 innings while racking up three saves and two holds. Despite the hot streak he still has a 7.71 ERA on the year, but with both Lucas Sims (elbow) and Tejay Antone (forearm) sidelined, Garrett figures to be the top man in the Cincy bullpen for the time being.

Luis Castillo - Blanks Atlanta for third winCastillo (3-10) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-1 victory over Atlanta, allowing six hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out six.

ImpactThe right-hander finally appears to have turned the corner after his rough beginning to the season. Castillo has delivered quality starts in four of his last five trips to the mound, blanking the opposition in two of them, and he sports a 1.71 ERA and 32:12 K:BB through 31.2 innings over that stretch.

Sonny Gray - Has succesful rehab outingGray (groin) struck out four while allowing one hit and three walks across three scoreless innings during his rehab outing with Triple-A Louisville on Saturday.

ImpactGray was initially slated to make his rehab start Thursday but a stiff back pushed the outing back to Saturday. The plan has been for the right-hander to make just one start with Louisville before rejoining the big-league rotation, so assuming that holds, he should line up to start for the Reds sometime toward the middle or end of next week.

ImpactThe young right-hander delivered his sixth quality start of the year with a season high in strikeouts, but Atlanta's bats didn't provide him with much run support. Anderson will carry a 3.42 ERA and 88:29 K:BB through 81.2 innings into his next outing.
