Jorge Mateo - Steals base, scores twice in win Mateo went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a pair of runs scored in Tuesday's 12-8 win over the Athletics.

Impact Mateo has retaken a share of the major-league lead in steals with six. He shares the top spot with Cleveland's Myles Straw. Mateo has a trio of three-hit efforts through nine contests, and he's hitting a respectable .286 with two home runs, five RBI and nine runs scored. The 27-year-old appears to be the starter at shortstop -- his only two absences on the year were due to hand and ankle injuries that cost him one game each.

Bryan Baker - Clean inning for win Baker (1-0) struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the win in Tuesday's 12-8 victory over the Athletics.

Impact Baker kept the game tied at 7-7 with his fourth straight clean outing, and the Orioles' offense rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. This was Baker's first win to go with two holds through six appearances this season. Aside from a three-run blow-up on Opening Day versus the Red Sox, he's been pretty solid, though that outing has him at a 4.26 ERA with a 0.63 WHIP over 6.1 innings. Despite his struggles, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde did confirm that Rodriguez will remain a member of the Baltimore rotation. His next start is scheduled against the White Sox on Sunday.
