Impact Cordero is making a great case to make the Opening Day roster. He's viewed as a candidate to back up Ryan Mountcastle at first base, though Cordero also has plenty of experience in the outfield -- versatility that could be valuable. With non-roster invitees Lewin Diaz (shoulder) and Ryan O'Hearn (knee) battling injuries, Cordero could further his chances to break camp with the Orioles by staying healthy. He slashed .219/.300/.397 across 275 plate appearances with the Red Sox a year ago.

Impact Mullins has been more of a reserve outfielder during the tournament. While it's discouraging to see him sitting on the bench, his place as the Orioles' starting center fielder is in no danger heading into 2023. He played 156 games last year with a solid .258/.318/.403 slash line, though his numbers were down from his breakout 2021 campaign. He added 16 home runs, 34 stolen bases, 64 RBI and 89 runs scored in 2022, and he should be a near-everyday presence atop the lineup.

Connor Norby - Reassigned to minor-league camp The Orioles reassigned Norby to minor-league camp Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Norby received a brief taste of Triple-A ball last season and made the most of it, slashing .359/.405/.718 through 42 plate appearances. As impressive as his minor-league numbers have been, he will still start the year in Triple-A Norfolk. However, the 22-year-old infielder could very well make his major-league debut at some point during the season if he continues to produce.

Lewin Díaz - Dealing with sore shoulder Diaz was scratched from Baltimore's lineup Tuesday due to left shoulder soreness, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Impact Orioles manager Brandon Hyde noted that Diaz's injury "doesn't sound too severe," so the 26-year-old first baseman should be able to return to action relatively soon. Diaz logged just a .512 OPS in the majors last season, but he is off to a solid start this spring, slashing .250/.375/.500 through 24 plate appearances.
