Mike Baumann - Sent back down Baumann was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Impact Baumann was recently recalled by the Orioles, and he allowed a run on three hits and no walks while striking out two in 3.2 relief innings against the Rays on Saturday. He's posted a 4.91 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 11 innings over six outings with the major-league club this year, but he'll head back to Norfolk after Marcos Diplan was recalled Monday.

Tyler Nevin - Bound for minors The Orioles optioned Nevin to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Impact Nevin saw a streak of 14 consecutive starts come to an end in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Rays, and his opportunities with the big club were expected to become more scarce moving forward following Ryan Mountcastle's return from the 10-day injured list earlier in the weekend. Rather than keeping Nevin around as a luxury bench piece who would typically only start against left-handed pitching, the Orioles will send the 24-year-old back to Norfolk so he can play on a more frequent basis.

Sulser's first appearance out of the bullpen will mark his Orioles debut, after he was optioned to Norfolk when he was claimed off waivers from the Pirates earlier this month. He previously made his big-league debut for Pittsburgh earlier in 2022, covering 9.2 innings over four relief outings while giving up four earned runs on eight hits and six walks.

Marcos Diplán - Recalled by Orioles Diplan was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Impact Diplan returned to the minors in mid-April, and he's posted a 0.71 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 12.2 innings over 11 relief appearances in Norfolk this year. He'll rejoin the Orioles' bullpen after Mike Baumann was sent down Monday. In spite of Diplan's minor-league success, he'll likely pitch mainly in low-leverage situations for Baltimore.

Impact Kremer is presumably looking to work deeper into Tuesday's outing than he did in his initial rehab appearance with Double-A Bowie on May 18, when he struck out five over two scoreless innings (25 pitches). The 26-year-old right-hander had been in line for a spot in the Orioles' Opening Day rotation until a left oblique strain suffered during a bullpen session prior to his first start resulted in him moving to the IL. Kremer may not be guaranteed a spot in Baltimore's rotation once he's fully ramped up.

Cesar Prieto - Advances to Double-A The Orioles promoted Prieto from High-A Aberdeen to Double-A Bowie on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact A two-week stint on the injured list earlier this season wasn't able to derail Prieto, who moves up to Bowie after slashing .340/.381/.619 across 105 plate appearances in 25 games with Aberdeen. The 23-year-old infielder showed impressive contact skills, as he struck out in only 15.2 percent of his plate appearances.

Shed Long Jr. - Ready to debut at Norfolk Triple-A Norfolk activated Long (lower leg) from its 7-day injured list Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Impact Long missed the first month of the minor-league season while he continued to recover from October surgery to address a stress fracture in his left leg. He was cleared to begin a rehab assignment at Single-A Delmarva on May 10 before he eventually moved on to High-A Aberdeen. Between the two affiliates, Long appeared in six games and went 3-for-16 with four walks and a run. He should get the opportunity to play on an everyday basis at Norfolk, where he'll try to impress enough to earn a promotion to the Orioles later this summer.
