Spenser Watkins - Dealing with bruised forearm Watkins had X-rays come back negative and was diagnosed with a bruised right forearm after exiting Sunday's start against the Rays, Andy Kostka of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact The right-hander was struck in the right forearm by a 105.9 mile-per-hour comebacker during the first inning Sunday, and he left the contest after facing only three batters. Watkins allowed three earns runs on three hits without recording an out, and he should be considered day-to-day as he continues to be evaluated.

Tyler Nevin - Likely set for utility role Nevin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact With Ryan Mountcastle making his way back from the 10-day injured list Saturday, Nevin's time as a regular in the Baltimore lineup looks to be over. He started each of Baltimore's last 14 games at either corner-infield or corner-outfield spot, slashing .245/.309/.327 during that stretch. Nevin's ability to play four defensive positions and serve as an option at designated hitter still gives him avenues to playing time when one of the Baltimore regulars need a rest, but he'll likely have to settle for more of a part-time role while the team is back to full strength.

Yusniel Diaz - Not close to return Diaz (hamstring) is not in line to be called up to the Orioles until the second half of the season, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Diaz aggravated a hamstring injury last week that also cost him time in April. The outfielder would presumably need to get back up to speed with Triple-A Norfolk before potentially ascending to the majors. There's still not a clear timeline on when he'll be back in action.

Terrin Vavra - Approaching rehab assignment Vavra (hamstring) is nearing a rehab assignment, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Impact Vavra suffered his hamstring injury in April. He'll get some games in with a lower-level minor-league affiliate before presumably returning to Triple-A Norfolk. If he plays well, he could be a candidate for a call-up to the majors later in the season.

Adley Rutschman - Triples in debut Rutschman went 1-for-3 with a triple and a walk in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Rays.
Impact Rutschman only had to wait until his third plate appearance to get his first big-league hit, and it was a rare triple for the catcher. He had only three career triples and four stolen bases during his short rise through the minors, so he shouldn't be expected to be much of a speed threat. He'll get to rest his legs Sunday -- the top prospect is batting fifth as the designated hitter in the series finale versus the Rays.

Impact Bradish was victimized by two Randy Arozarena long balls in the contest that accounted for three of the runs against him. The rookie has served up at least one homer in each of his five career starts thus far, though this was the first time he has allowed more than four runs. Bradish has shown plenty of promise in his first taste of the majors, but his 5.74 ERA suggests that he still has plenty of room for growth. He's tentatively slated to make his next start in Boston next weekend.
