There aren't a lot of flaws to be found in GrayRod's game, but it's worth noting that 10 of those 13 walks have come in his last four starts. He also hasn't been permitted to go deeper than 5.1 innings in any outing this year. In short, he isn't superhuman, but he's still one of the most exciting pitching prospects to come along in quite some time. With five plus pitches and velocity that can touch 100, he has the look of an instant-impact arm. The only question left is when the O's will see fit to promote him.

Impact Urias got the Orioles on the board with a solo shot in the second inning. In the fourth, he forced an error that led to another run scoring. The 27-year-old has moved over to shortstop in the last two games to cover for Jorge Mateo (shoulder/chest), but he'll likely move back to third base full-time once his teammate is ready to play. Urias has hit safely in 11 of 14 games in May, though only two of those have been multi-hit efforts. He's up to a .212/.257/.317 slash line with two homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored and five doubles through 113 plate appearances.

Impact Tate got into some trouble in both the sixth and seventh innings, but the runs against him were scored on a groundout and an error. The right-hander has allowed three runs (two earned) in 7.1 innings across six outings in May. The 28-year-old is at a 2.45 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 14:3 K:BB through 18.1 innings while adding a save and five holds in 16 appearances. While he's pitched well, he hasn't done enough to challenge Jorge Lopez for the closer role.
