However, Brieske rebounded to strike out Josh Lowe for the final out, securing his first save in 2024. The 26-year-old right-hander has earned a higher-leverage role with the Tigers down the stretch. Impact Brieske served as the opener and labored through a tough first inning, as he needed 30 pitches to cover the frame. It's encouraging that Brieske was trusted with high-leverage work despite struggling lately, as the righty has a 7.59 ERA across 10.2 innings this month.
