Trevor Story - Rehab assignment mapped out soon The Red Sox plan to soon map out a plan for Story's (shoulder) rehab assignment, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports. Impact There are no dates set yet, with Story saying Friday only that he expects to begin playing in rehab games sometime in September. The shortstop has taken live batting practice and gone through other baseball activities as he tries to complete a quicker-than-expected return from his mid-April surgery for a fractured left shoulder. Given the length of his absence, he would figure to require a good number of rehab at-bats. Of course, the Red Sox might not have the luxury of giving him as many rehab games as he would ideally need, considering how much time is left in the season.
