Keegan Thompson - Shuts down Pirates Thompson (7-2) allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out seven across six innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Pirates.
Impact Thompson surrendered a home run to Diego Castillo to begin the second inning but otherwise shut down the Pittsburgh offense. It was the second consecutive excellent outing for Thompson, as he's allowed only one earned run across 12 innings while maintaining a 16:3 K:BB. Thompson has been effective as both a starter and reliever this season, maintaining a 3.10 ERA across 61 frames.

Impact Happ was replaced defensively by Nelson Velazquez in the bottom of the fifth inning with the Cubs up 10-1, but the former did some damage while he was in there. The outfielder went deep in the second inning with a runner on, giving him eight home runs and 34 RBI this season through 67 games. Happ also has a robust .870 OPS, making him a solid fantasy option in all formats.

Patrick Wisdom - Homers again Wednesday Wisdom went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Pirates.
Impact Wisdom also struck out twice, displaying his all-or-nothing approach, but fantasy managers won't complain too much. The third baseman now has home runs in his last two games, giving him a team-high 14 for the season. Wisdom's four RBI also pushed him to 36 this year, putting him two ahead of Ian Happ's 34 RBI for the team lead.

Matt Swarmer - Takes third loss Swarmer (1-3) allowed five runs (four earned) on five hits across four innings to take the loss Tuesday against the Pirates. He walked two and struck out five.
Impact Swarmer has shown the ability to miss some bats, as he now has 24 strikeouts across 24.2 innings this season. The 28-year-old has otherwise struggled with a 5.84 ERA, and home runs have been a big reason why, as he's surrendered 11 of them during his limited action. The Cubs are a bit thin in the rotation at the moment, however, so Swarmer may be able to hold onto his spot in the short term. If so, he'd be in line to start again Sunday against the Cardinals.
