Isaac Paredes - Collects four hits, stolen baseParedes went 4-for-5 with a run scored in Wednesday's 9-6 loss to the Phillies. He also stole a base.
ImpactParedes collected his first four-hit game of the season along with his first stolen base. The 25-year-old isn't known for his speed, as he now has just two career MLB steals, but he is also only one long ball shy of reaching the 20-homer plateau for the third straight year. Heading into 2025, Paredes should continue to derive much of his fantasy value from his ability to hit with power.

Nico Hoerner - Goes deep twice WednesdayHoerner went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four total RBI in Wednesday's 9-6 loss to the Phillies.
ImpactThis was an unexpected power surge, as Hoerner came into the contest with only five home runs all season through 147 games. The infielder went deep with two runners on in the fourth inning, then added a solo shot in the sixth. It was the first multi-homer effort of the 27-year-old's career. While it was a pleasant surprise, fantasy managers should still expect more speed than power from Hoerner moving forward based on his MLB track record.

Javier Assad - Serves up three homers in defeatAssad (7-6) took the loss Wednesday against the Phillies, allowing eight earned runs on eight hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
ImpactAssad's final start of the season turned out to be his worst, allowing a season-worst eight earned runs on six extra-base hits, including three home runs. Assad limped to the finish line in 2024, allowing three or more earned runs in five of his final six starts, posting an ugly 5.82 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB during that span. Although he ended on a sour note, the 27-year-old set career-highs in innings pitched (147) and strikeouts (124), finishing the season with a respectable 3.73 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 124:63 K:BB in 29 starts.
