Patrick Wisdom - Hits 16th home runWisdom went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Reds.
ImpactWisdom keeps building on his breakout campaign, as he's now up to 16 home runs, 27 RBI and 30 runs scored through 56 games, to go along with a strong .940 OPS. With the Cubs trading Anthony Rizzo Thursday and potentially making a few more moves before Friday's deadline, Wisdom should see all the playing time he can handle the rest of the way.

Ian Happ - Reaches double figures in homersHapp went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Reds.
ImpactIt's been a struggle this season for Happ, who's still batting just .181, but he did manage his 10th home run of the year. That gives him double figures in home runs in each of his five MLB seasons. The Cubs traded Anthony Rizzo Thursday and might still make a few more moves before Friday's deadline, so Happ could see more playing time down the stretch after getting stuck on the bench more frequently lately.

Alec Mills - Suffers fourth loss ThursdayMills (4-4) allowed four runs (three earned) across six innings to take the loss Thursday against the Reds. He gave up nine hits with no walks or strikeouts.
ImpactMills allowed a two-run home run to Joey Votto in the first inning but then settled in and pitched pretty well. He recorded his first quality start of the season, and this was in fact the first time he even completed six innings in an outing. The righty has spent time in the bullpen and rotation for the Cubs, but he's locked in as a starter right now with Jake Arrieta (hamstring) on the injured list. Mills will look to make it two quality starts in a row in his next scheduled appearance Wednesday against the Rockies at Coors Field.
