Jesús Sánchez - Officially demotedSanchez was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
ImpactSanchez has retained a large-side platoon role in the Marlins' outfield of late, but he's hitting just .175/.290/.300 across his last 30 games. Edward Cabrera and Nick Neidert were both promoted to Miami in a series of moves made by the team Thursday. The move should also solidify consistent playing time for Peyton Burdick, JJ Bleday and Bryan de La Cruz in the Marlins' outfield.

Peyton Burdick - Major-league debut on tapBurdick's contract will be selected from Triple-A Jacksonville ahead of Friday's series opener against the Cubs, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
ImpactBurdick was promoted to the Triple-A club in September of 2021, and he's slashed .229/.344/.430 with 14 homers, 70 runs, 51 RBI and eight stolen bases over 88 games in Jacksonville to begin the 2022 campaign. The Marlins optioned Jesus Sanchez to Triple-A on Thursday, and Burdick will likely see regular playing time in the outfield over the final two months of the regular season so the Marlins can evaluate his potential against the top level of competition.

Jesús Sánchez - Demotion incomingSanchez is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville ahead of Friday's game against the Cubs, Craig Mish of SportsGrid.com reports.
ImpactSanchez has recently seen his playing time dwindle despite Miami's injury issues, and he'll now make his way to the minors. The 24-year-old has a .205/.271/.387 slash line with 12 home runs and 33 RBI in 325 plate appearances this season, as he's been unable to replicate the .808 OPS he posted in 64 games during 2021. Prospect Peyton Burdick is set to be promoted by the Marlins for his MLB debut, per Mish.

Mark Kolozsvary - Sent to minorsThe Reds optioned Kolozsvary to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.
ImpactKolozsvary lost his spot on the 26-man active roster to fellow catcher Austin Romine, whom the Reds acquired from the Cardinals on Tuesday. During his latest stint in the big leagues, Kolozsvary saw scant action behind No. 1 backstop Michael Papierski, who should face a stiffer challenge for the top job from Romine.
