Mike Minor - Picks up second winMinor (2-10) allowed five runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out one in 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Pirates on Sunday.
ImpactWins have been hard to come by for Minor this season, but he got plenty of offensive support from the Reds on Sunday and earned his first win since June 13 despite giving up five runs. The southpaw has given up at least four runs in four of his six starts since the All-Star break and has posted a 6.75 ERA and 1.79 WHIP in 30.2 innings during that time. He tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Washington on Friday.

ImpactThompson's outing got off to a rough start when Jake Fraley took him deep to lead off the game. The 28-year-old righty then gave up a two-run shot to Mike Moustakas in the third inning. Thompson has fallen to 0-6 with a brutal 6.26 ERA over his last 12 appearances. He'll carry a 5.51 ERA into his projected matchup in Philadelphia next weekend.

ImpactFraley set the tone early with his leadoff shot to begin the contest. He later added a two-run single and ended up reaching base in each of his five plate appearances. The red-hot outfielder has gone 20-for-56 (.357) with six homers and 16 runs scored over his last 18 games. During that span, Fraley's season OPS has jumped from .441 to .853 through 33 contests.

JT Brubaker - Cleared to start TuesdayBrubaker (finger) is scheduled to start Tuesday's home game against Atlanta, Justice delos Santos of MLB.com reports.
ImpactBrubaker contended with a blister on his pitching hand his last time out Thursday against the Red Sox, but it didn't stop him from piling up seven strikeouts over seven shutout innings in what amounted to one of his best starts of the season. The right-hander was apparently able to do some throwing over the weekend without incident, so he'll return to the mound Tuesday on his typical four days' rest and shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he takes on Atlanta.

Matt Reynolds - Departs with hip sorenessReynolds exited Sunday's game against the Pirates due to hip soreness, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ImpactManager David Bell said after Sunday's win that Reynolds has dealt with his hip issue for several days, but the injury was bothering him more as the game progressed Sunday. Prior to his departure, he went 1-for-4 with a strikeout. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Monday's series opener in Philadelphia.
