Chase De Jong - Blows save chanceDe Jong allowed three earned runs on four hits to blow the save Wednesday against the Reds.
ImpactDe Jong entered the game with a three-run lead, but he served up back-to-back homers to blow the save chance. He's been effective for long stretches of the season but has a 5.27 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 13.2 innings in September. He isn't likely to see save additional save chances with David Bednar back from the injured list.

ImpactWilson turned in his best outing of the season and struck out at least six batters for the first time since May 4 -- a span of 18 appearances. He induced 10 groundball outs and also generated 11 swinging strikes across 90 total pitches. Though he's pitched poorly for most of the season, Wilson owns a 3.90 ERA with a 23:8 K:BB across 30 frames and five starts in September.

Jake Fraley - Tallies 11th homerFraley went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Pirates.
ImpactFraley earned a start for the second consecutive game, and he took advantage by slugging a game-tying homer in the ninth inning. He now has 11 home runs on the season -- a new career high -- four of which have come in September. Overall, Fraley has a .249/.333/.462 line across 225 plate appearances for the campaign.
