Ben Lively - Shortest outing of season Lively did not factor into the decision Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks over 3.2 innings against the Cubs. He struck out one. Impact Lively was touched up for a couple of homers and four walks for the second-consecutive start. While he never allowed the game to get out of hand, eventually paving the way for a comeback victory by the Guardians, he was pulled with two on and two out in the fourth and walked away with a no decision. It was the shortest outing of the season for Lively, who had made it into the fifth inning during each of his previous 20 starts. Despite the rough showing, the veteran righty is continuing to produce a career season, posting a 3.71 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 93 strikeouts over 114 innings. His next opportunity to toe the rubber is scheduled to take place in Milwaukee when the Guardians travel to take on the Brewers.
