Optioned to Triple-A Snider was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

Impact Snider had been on the active roster since Opening Day but didn't exactly impress in 21 innings of relief. He struggled to a 7.71 ERA and 1.76 WHIP, striking out 12.8 percent of opposing batters while walking 11.7 percent. Angel Zerpa was recalled to take his place in the bullpen.

Collects fourth win Snider (4-2) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Saturday versus the Astros.

Impact Snider worked the sixth inning after five shutout frames from starter Kris Bubic. In the bottom of the sixth, Salvador Perez opened the scoring with a two-run home run, and the Royals' bullpen protected the lead from there to get Snider his fourth win of the year. The right-hander has been a little inconsistent with runs allowed in six of his last 12 appearances. He has a 6.05 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 12:8 K:BB through 19.1 innings in 24 appearances overall. He's added six holds and a blown save.

Impact The Royals rallied to tie the game in the top of the eighth inning, but Snider gave it all back on an Andres Gimenez three-run homer in the bottom of the frame. In 10 innings in May, Snider has allowed 10 runs on 14 hits and five walks. He has a 6.38 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 12:8 K:BB with six holds and a blown save in 18.1 innings overall as a middle-relief option.
